Hi everyone!! We (well...*I*!) have a new blog, if you'd like to check it out:
EnJoy! (For All is Well!)
While it may *seem* like it's a food blog, there is still a lot of our lives in there, since much of our lives is centered around glorious food!
Be Well ~

Since completing our *365 Photos* project, I have released myself from posting a photo a day on this blog...and life has been SO much more FREE ever since!! It feels more *authentically mine* for not having to think about which part of my life to share in the blog...
So that is why there have not been many posts. I *will* be adding photos now and then, when I have some time.
THESE are VERY important photos!! We have new members in our family...and we are so very much in love with both of them.
Meet Monty...

...and Roxi...

(Sam is Monty's *boy*, and it is VERY rare that Roxi is in Sam's lap, because the big ole bulldog baby usually is!!...and, as you can see, he does *Not* approve of the little corgi being in his boy's lap!)
Life is Just So Grand!

So, this is what my morning looked like...

And this is what my evening looked like...

(that says Dave <3 Anne...my honey always makes me a loving Easter egg...)
Sam spilled cereal milk on his Alienware laptop several weeks ago...and we've been through hell and back trying to get the issue fixed and resolved (Alienware is *not* a consumer-friendly company!). Finally, we stopped fighting the flow and Sam chose to buy an external keyboard with his birthday money from his Grandma...and now he's back and gaming and happy (he was happy without it, too...)...

This is his keyboard lit up...COOL!!

Oh, I love it when ducks and geese deem our pond to be *noble enough* to stop for a swim along their journeys...
This wood duck has been here every morning...I just love him.

Look at the gift I received when I opened a new jar of Nutella!! YES!! This *beauty*, in addition to the gift of the deliciousness of Nutella!!

Another amazing sunset... Wow. Just Wow.

Last night, Sam said, "I want to bake bread tomorrow."
And so, he did.
He and Jake made their first homeade bread ever, and it was SO wonderful to be a part of it all (I must confess to using my bread machine to make the dough for me when I make bread!)...

I had cleaned out the dough bowl and gathered up a little bit of bread dough. We were all playing catch with it (playing catch with bread dough is one of our favorite things to do!), and then Sam realized that he could make a teeny tiny pizza with it while we were waiting for the *real* bread to rise...
(And it was SOOO good!!)

All I have to say about this bread, these boys and this glorious life: Yes!!

There is something *very* wrong with this huge strawberry picture...

I had to go into town to pick up our Jeep (hooray for new brakes that actually WORK!!)...and so I stopped at the ice cream shop to have a little baby-cone treat for myself, and picked up a treat for *all* of us... Mmm...ice cream cake...

I found this treat in the refrigerator that I had bought at Minamoto Kitchoan the last time we were in NYC, and it had expired, darn it! But I opened it up and looked at it and touched it and smelled it, anyway...because it's so very lovely...(yes...that's a whole Japanese cherry encapsulated in a sweet gelatin...)...

I woke up this morning, looked out the window and this was the view from my pillow...the CN Tower...

Yay!! It's going home day!! We love to travel, but we love to go HOME!! But first, a trip to the St. Lawrence Market ('cause we just LOVE these markets!!) and a pea-meal Canadian bacon sammo for my Sam O (one of his favorite meat sandwiches)...

What a great trip. Home. Heading home...

On to Toronto...and after checking into the hotel and having lunch, Jake, Sam and I sent Dave off to his silly Engineering conference and we hopped on the subway to the Royal Ontario Museum...
This is the Museum subway stop...

The cool museum...

And look who we got to PLAY with at the museum!!...the most awesome Laricchia's (well, some of them...)!!

We were excited about seeing this exhibit:

Lissy kept telling us that she had to show us the BEST thing in the entire museum...a window shade (which she aptly named *Shady the Shade*). NOT part of the museum exhibits, mind you...but an actual shade on a window in the museum. We were like, "Yeah, yeah...OK...let's go see your shade..." But, WOW!! She Was SO Right (of course she was!)!! It was SO cool and awesome and was a light-capturing-shape-shifter!!

Our time together was too short...and so we walked to the subway station and said good-bye...until we meet again in Niagara Falls in JUNE!!

We arrived back in the hotel just as Dave was finishing up w/his conference, and we headed to a restaurant where we had reservations...an incredible Italian restaurant called Kit Kat Italian Bar and Grill...

Oh.My.God. Favorite restaurant meal EVER. (I know...I say that a *lot*!!)...
My honey took this...

MMmmm...grilled calamari...

I'm still dreaming of and wanting this osso bucco...

So how do you top off too much deliciousness and too much beautiful wine? With *more*, of course! A couple of after-dinner drinks...

...and some palate-cleansing lollipops...

Our walk back to the hotel was the silliest walk EVER!!..

Sam's shot from our walk back...

And it didn't end there...we proceeded to the hotel pool where Dave, Jake and Sam had a wonderful time swimming together (the pool was indoors, but a portion of it extended *out*doors, so it was very cool...
What a glorious, glorious day...

We were excited about seeing this exhibit:
Journey to the afterlife through the mystical Book of the Dead of Amen-em-hat. Books of the Dead are funerary manuscripts created by Ancient Egyptians during their lifetime, containing instructions to help the deceased in the afterlife. Learn about the haunting “weighing of the heart” judgment ceremony, the mysterious gods Amen-em-hat would meet, and the magic spells that would keep his soul safe as he journeyed through the Underworld.

Dave has a conference in Toronto, and we are excited to be joining him. We're stopping for a night in Niagara Falls, to stay in the hotel that I'll be having my Shine conference in in June ~ the Crowne Plaza Fallsview in Niagara Falls, Ontario. These are just two of the loads of photos I took of the hotel...(the rest are on the We Shine Conference list)...

Amazing.
I woke up at 5:30, and looked outside, because they said we *might* get some snow showers. But it has been beautifully in the mid-50's, and when I checked outside at 5:30 a.m., all was still clear and relatively warm.
So I got on my lap-top.
As I was working on the computer, I heard this fierce wind come up and rattle the entire house!! It kept up for quite awhile, but I kept on working (it was dark outside).
Around 6:30, I shut down my computer, walked to the french doors and saw a snow-covered landscape!! It was still snowing and blowing and it sure looked like winter again!!
Jake and I drove down to the village (in the valley) and there was NOTHING!! It was 28 degrees at our house, and 35 degrees down there!!
On the ride home, we saw the most beautiful sight...the mountains had a distinct LINE across them...the *snow* line...and as we drove up our road back to our home, we passed the *no snow* line and entered the *snow zone* again!! It looked very cool...

Anne:
This is the view looking directly *down* from our hotel room at the wonderful Omni at Independence Park.

Up and off to the Reading Terminal Market...we LOVE these kind of places!!

For my breakfast...sausage, egg and cheese in a PRETZEL!!...

Oh, those Amish Apple Dumplings w/fresh cream poured on top...MMmmm...

Dave's calling Jason in his hospital room to see what REAL food goodies we can bring to him...I liked that he was standing next to this ice cream cone...

This dude's on the job...making Jason a Philly Cheesestake (w/onions & ketchup...as per Jason's order...)...

A good good day...spent hours with Jason and George...and arrived home, quite grateful for ALL.

I REALLY feel *over* being a red-head...
And so, I visited our awesome stylist, Max...and he took care of my desire for a change...

Because we have a dog-less home (sadder), and because we wanted to drive to Philadelphia to visit Jason, anyway, we decided to bring as much JOY into the trip and our lives as possible. So we headed to Old City Philly for the night, and did some good eating and drinking and walking and laughing and loving...
One of my 3 sliders at the Philadelphia Fish & Company...

. . . .
Crab fries. YUM. They bring this yummy warm dip with chunks of crab in it, and they pour it on a pile of fries. YUM.
After eating our first order of Crab Fries, I jokingly said to the bartender (we were eating from the bar menu at the bar), "We are moving in and we want you to serve these to us for the rest of our lives..." She laughed and asked, "Do you want another order?" I started to say No, but Dave said, "YEAH!"
Note for next time: NEVER get a second order of Crab Fries.

We walked off our beer and burgers and crab fries, touring the historic sights...

Dave and I at Betsy Ross' House...

I love Elfreth's Alley...and it's *very* cool at night!...

We walked to the waterfront...

As we left Penn's Landing, we saw a crowd of people gathered around and lined up at this shop...so we went to check it out and see what was so attractive...
Apparently, they must have REALLY good ice cream here, as this was THE place to be!!

They also had these cool sugar Easter "toys" ("Old Fashioned Clear Toy Candies" as they describe them)...

Jake:

This photo was not taken on March 26th, but I felt I should do something special, as this is my last day here!
I've done 365, so I'm headed off. Where? Who knows. Could be anywhere. Maybe I'll go find Waldo and hang out with him for a while.
Thank you so much! To everyone who's looked, and written, and been interested in my pictures! And especially to my fantastic co-author. Love you Mom!
I've changed a lot in this past year, and it's been such a fantastic experience growing into expressing myself through photography...
Thank you all so much!
Catch you later,
-Jake

We are *LivingStrong*...wearing the bracelets, and thinking of our nephew Jason every second, sending him LOVE, as well as Wellness and Health Vibrations...

Homemade pizza in the oven is a beautiful thing...

Jake:

All of my REALLY good photos coincided on today. : O Jamie's so cute. We went out into the woods and found all sorts of treasure!

Anne:
We went into Oneonta today, and decided to stop in a new coffee shop (located in the building that our hair-stylist just left!). WOW! It was AMAZING!!
Here's the delicious "coffee" Jake and I shared... :)

As we sat and enjoyed our beverages, this little girl and the nature program on the TV behind her entertained us. She is the owner's daughter, and you can just tell! She sat there bouncing on that couch the ENTIRE time we were sitting (her Mom was elsewhere, chatting with friends).

Lovelies at the Autumn Cafe...

Jake:

Whee!
I like buttons.
Anne:
Me and my sweet doggie...my Choco...

My men. I love them. This is the swing that my honey made, with Sam. It started out being a swing that was needed for when Jamie visits this week, but somehow turned into *my* swing. And so my honey bought pink paint for *my* swing.

My manly man's beautiful pink painted hands...

Sam, working on the wood-pile w/Dave today...
